E. Jakarta Has 107 Points of Mobile Library Service

Every mobile car has 750-1,000 copies of reading books

The increased interest in reading continues to be intensified via a direct service to 107 points in East Jakarta with six mobile library cars. In addition to storytelling activities, there are also more than 750 books.

East Jakarta Library and Archive Sub-dept. Head, Fadlan Zurhan said, those service points are at school, PAUD, park, puskesmas, flat, East Flood Canal (KBT), RW post in citizen settlement and mayor office tour. 

Mobile Library Drivers Get Storytelling And Origami Training

"Every mobile car has 750-1,000 copies of reading books. Herein, we have various books, starting from, story, fairy tales, children, adolescents, adults, skills, general knowledge, history, religion, textbooks, etc," he expressed, Wednesday (7/26).

To provide different activities, he assessed, the mobile library car drivers also have been equipped with science of storytelling.

"Besides driving skills, they must also be able to interact with children, including storytelling. It is also our target stimulating children to love to read," he stated.

He added, the number of visitors per point every day is about 300-350 visitors," he closed.
